Summer Net Together is Digital Union’s annual summer gathering for the North East’s digital and creative sector. This year we’re bringing the party back to the stunning Wylam Brewery, a Grade-II listed building formerly the Palace of Arts, in Exhibition Park.
The event has become a staple summer fixture for established teams within the Creative and Digital sector who join freelancers and smaller microbusinesses in getting out of the office to mingle in an informal setting. With the emphasis firmly on fun and enjoying the Great British summer (fingers crossed!) this is the major annual gathering of the North East’s most thriving sector.
Summer Net Together will kick off with a welcome drink, a DJ providing the music, street food, craft beers and plenty of fun with activities such as races, scrambles and other outdoor/indoor games. Our theme will be ‘Summer Fete’ with businesses entering teams to take part in complex disciplines such as ‘Bean Bag Scramble’, ‘Space Hopper Race’, ‘Tennis Ball Relay’ and king of them all, ‘The Egg & Spoon’. Indoors we’ll also have a selection of classic games to play such as Twister, Jenga, giant Connect4, and Hoopla.
